Starting out in early 2008; Weeper
is a point-and-click adventure game (in the style of games such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword).
The player takes control of a troubled young woman named Lotte as she
searches for her best friend Celia who disappeared under mysterious
circumstances at the end of the second millennium. Following a tip-off
from a hired private investigator, Lotte arrives at a remote manor in
rural Scotland where it seems Celia was last seen.
The manor,
home to the eccentric Baudven family, contains numerous residents; each
of whom are carrying a dark and disturbing secret. It is up to the
player to guide Lotte as she searches the house, solves the mystery,
and discovers Celia's true fate.
Weeper, which has drawn
inspiration from the works of Agatha Christie and David Lynch,
will be released in chapters free to download when it is finally
finished (hopefully while we're still young).
